Kovafin Transparency Standard
How we rank, score, and display. No secrets. No paid boosts. No exceptions.
The Principle
Every employer on Kovafin is ranked by behavior, not budget. No company can pay to appear higher in search results, get featured placement, or boost their visibility. Rankings are earned through transparent, measurable actions.

Equity Score
Every company receives an Equity Score (0-100) computed from five behavioral factors:
Average rating from candidate reviews. Minimum 3 reviews required to count. New companies start at a neutral 50%.
Average time from application to first status change. Under 24 hours = full marks. Over 7 days = lowest score.
Percentage of applications that receive a decision (hired, rejected, or withdrawn) rather than being ghosted. 90%+ = full marks.
Time on the platform. 3+ years = full marks. New companies are not penalized. They start neutral and build credibility.
Posting completeness: how many optional fields are filled (team info, interview steps, decision criteria, benefits, culture statement).
Trusted Employer Badge
Companies with an Equity Score of 70+ and at least 3 candidate reviews earn the “Trusted Employer” badge. This badge is displayed on job postings and company profiles. It cannot be purchased, only earned.
Credibility Badges
All badges are earned from behavior. None can be bought.
- Platform Tenure - 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, 3+ years on the platform
- Rating Tier - Bronze (3.0+), Silver (3.5+), Gold (4.0+), Platinum (4.5+) from candidate reviews
- Fast Responder - Average response to applications under 24 hours
- No Ghosting - Responds to 90%+ of all applications with a decision
Company of the Month
Each month, the company with the highest Equity Score improvement is automatically featured. Selection is fully algorithmic: no human picks, no payment. Previous month's winner is excluded to ensure variety.
Job Ranking
Job listings are sorted by a combination of recency and Equity Score. Newer postings appear first by default, but higher-scored companies receive a visibility multiplier. This means good employers naturally float higher over time, while new postings still get immediate visibility.
Anti-Gaming
We make the rules public because transparency is harder to game than secrecy.

- All reviews are from verified applicants (linked to real applications)
- Scores are computed from auditable platform data, not self-reported metrics
- The algorithm is published here for public accountability
- Review data is available via our Transparency API
For Candidates
You deserve to know how employers are ranked. This page exists so you can verify that the platform works in your interest. No employer can pay to appear in front of you. What you see is what you get.
For Employers
Your ranking is entirely in your hands. Respond quickly. Don't ghost applicants. Fill out your postings completely. Earn good reviews. The system rewards the behavior that candidates value most, and that's good for everyone.
